Refugee crisis is a huge problem that the world is facing right now. More than five crore people are forced to leave their homes and home-countries due to war, famine and ethnic persecution.  

‘Uprooted: Films on Identity and Space’ section features six fiction films which depicts the common problem of migration from different vantage points. The films are by new directors who have made great impressions at international film festivals. Although the films deal with the common theme of alienation and identity crisis, they are presented from very different viewpoints and styles – highlighting the different aspects of the common problem.
