Happiness/ Hang wan si ngo

Mourning the death of his mother, Kai-yuk leaves Guangzhou for Hong Kong to look for his father, who abandoned the family; but is devastated to find out that his father has already started a new family and considers this unwelcomed elder son a burden. Helpless and homeless, Kai-yuk is taken in by Auntie Fan, a late middle-aged recluse who leads a solitary existence. At first, their different lifestyles lead to squabbles that are intensified by Kai-yuk’s self-centeredness and Auntie Fan’s odd temperament. When Kai-yuk learns of Auntie Fan’s of impending dementia, he reacts with distaste, but as the two spend more time and know more about each other’s pasts, attachment between the two grow.
