IFFK: A testimony of solidarity to the homeless

Harmonizing the lives deprived of identity and space, International Film Festival of Kerala will screen a category of films exclusively for them. The flicks in ‘Uprooted: Films on Identity and Space’ are curated by Alessandra Speciale.

The array of films are Abdullah Mohammad Saad’s ‘Live from Dhaka’ from Bangladesh, Geetu Mohandas’s ‘Liar’s Dice’ from India, Edmund Yeo’s ‘Aqerat’ from Malaysia, Babak Jalali’s ‘Radio Dreams’ from USA, Yosep Anggi Noen’s ‘Solo, Solitude’ from Indonesia, and Ala Eddine Slim’s ’The Last of us’ from Tunisia.

The internal conflicts, the exploitation, the recovery – the fete lays focus on their pains and agonies. The opening film, ‘The Insult’ discusses the same.
