Scheduled to commence at 5 pm on December 8, 2023, the eagerly anticipated IFFK will unfold with the opening ceremony at the Nishagandhi Auditorium in Kanakakkunu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram. Sthree Thaal Tharang, hailing from Bengaluru and led by Sukkanya Ramgopal, will showcase the talent of female artists proficient in playing instruments such as veena, violin, mridangam, morching, gatham, ghata tharang, and konnakol, setting the tone for the opening ceremony at Nishagandhi.

Subsequently, the following week will be ablaze with cultural events along Kerala's first cultural corridor, Manaveeyam Veedhi, each evening at 7 o'clock. From Abhaya Hiranmayi's Pickle Jar to the infectious melodies of Mangosteen Club, Manaveeyam Veedhi will be pulsating with artistic and melodic energy throughout the week. On December 9, the spotlight will be on Abhaya Hiranmayi's Pickle Jar, featuring her chart-toppers like "Mazhaye Mazhaye" (James and Alice) and the renowned "Koyikode Song." On December 10, the Kerala-based hard rock and pop band, Flying Elephant, will captivate Manaveeyam Veedhi with their enthralling music. Adding to the festive spirit on December 11 is the Ragavalli Music Band, comprised of 13 women vocalists from the Chembai Memorial Government Music College in Palakkad, renowned for their viral renditions of tracks from ‘Manichitrathazhu’. On December 12, the indie music band Mangosteen Club from Kozhikode will mesmerize the capital city with their musical magic. Thiruvananthapuram-based singer Shiyon Saji will take the stage at Manaveeyam Veedhi on December 13, and on December 14, Ishq Sufiyana, led by Sufi singer Sijukumar, will infuse Manaveeyam with Sufi spirit.

The grand finale on December 15 will showcase The Wind of Rhythm, a fusion carnatic, folk, and cinematic music band from Kerala, featuring the world’s loudest non-brass acoustic instrument, the nadaswaram. Akhil Mavelikkara and his team will then grace the stage at the Nishagandhi Auditorium from 5 pm onwards on December 15 during the closing ceremony.
