Meet the Director celebrates Novel Stories and IdeasĀ

The opening "Meet the Director" programme of the year was successfully held at  Tagore Theatre premises, Thiruvananthapuram. The event featured a talented panel of directors and their teams, including Indu Lakshmi, Director of "Appuram", who was accompanied by actor Jagadeesh. Additionally, Rinoshun K, Director of "In Search of Light", and Sabrina Campos, Director of "Linda", shared their insights and experiences with the audience.
Director Indu Lakshmi, renowned for crafting compelling character-driven narratives infused with her personal ideologies, revealed that her film "Appuram" holds a special place in her heart. She described "Appuram" as a deeply personal project, weaving together her life experiences, ideologies, and perspectives into a poignant script. Expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the entire team who poured their hearts into the movie, Indu Lakshmi shared her joy about the film's selection at the 29th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), an event she deeply admires. "It's a dream come true for me," she said. 
Actor Jagadeesh, who portrays the protagonist in "Appuram," stated it was a validation for his performance when the director envisioned her character in him. 
Sabrina Campos, co-writer of the Argentinian film "Linda", shared her thoughts on the power of cinema in connecting cultures. The film tells the story of a self-assured woman who begins working for a wealthy Buenos Aires family. She expressed her delight, saying, "I'm extremely happy about 'Linda' being screened at IFFK."
Rinoshun K discussed his film 'In Search of Light', a standout feature in the day’s screenings explores the emotional journey of Roshini as she reconnects with her estranged half-brother Nived after their mother’s death. Rinoshun’s earlier work, 'First Five Days', was also featured at the 28th IFFK.
