Nabil Ayouch is a French-Moroccan film director, screenwriter, and producer. Ayouch gained international recognition with his feature film debut, "Mektoub" (1997), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. He has since directed several critically acclaimed films, including "Ali Zaoua: Prince of the Streets" (2000), "Whatever Lola Wants" (2007), "Horses of God" (2012), and "Razzia" (2017).
Touda is a sheikha (traditional singer and dancer) who performs in dingy bars to make ends meet. But Touda has a passion. She struggles for her art to be recognized and to ensure a better future for her deaf-and-mute son Yassine.
