Carlos Mares González, from Durango, Mexico, ventured into filmmaking after studying psychology and exploring photography from a young age. He studied at the Centro de Arte Audiovisual and has worked as a cameraman, assistant, and director since 2007. His fashion film Autre won awards in Mexico and Berlin. Notable works include his short films Terapia Breve and Tulipán. His debut feature film, Anna y Dante, is an independent production.
Anna and Dante, after years of separation, rekindle their friendship, but an unexpected pregnancy complicates their relationship. Refusing to face parenthood, they turn to Milton, a medical student who takes them to a modest apartment in the suburbs of Durango. In isolation, they endure a bitter experience that will change them forever.
