Nora Fingscheidt, born on February 17, 1983, in Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany, is a talented German film director and screenwriter. Fingscheidt's career began with short films, including "Synkope" (2011), which was nominated for the German Short Film Prize. Her documentary "Without This World" (2017) won the Max Ophüls Prize. She gained international recognition with her feature film "System Crasher" (2019), which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and won several awards, including the Alfred Bauer Prize. The film was also Germany's submission for the Best International Feature Film at the 2020 Academy Awards. In 2021, she directed "The Unforgivable," starring Sandra Bullock, which marked her first English-language film. Her latest project, "The Outrun" (2024), continues to showcase her versatility and talent as a filmmaker.
