Noaz Deshe, born on August 22, 1977, in Bucharest, Romania, is a Berlin-based film director and cinematographer. He is known for his work on films such as "White Shadow" (2013), which tells the story of albino persecution in Central Africa and won the Lion of the Future Award at the Venice Film Festival2. Deshe's sophomore feature, "Xoftex" (2024), premiered at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and is inspired by his experiences in a Greek refugee camp2. He has also composed soundtracks, including for Babak Jalali's debut feature film "Frontier Blues".
