Edgar Baghdasaryan

Edgar Baghdasaryan, born on March 8, 1964, in Yerevan, Armenia, is a distinguished Armenian film director and writer. He graduated from the Veterinary Institute in Yerevan in 1985 but soon transitioned to the film industry. Baghdasaryan began his career as a director at Armconcert in 1986 and later became an assistant director at Haik and Armenfilm studios in Armenia. He is best known for his films "The Simon's Way" (2017), "Lengthy Night" (2018), and "From Ararat to Zion" (2009). His work often explores themes of Armenian history and culture, and he has received critical acclaim for his contributions to cinema2.

Synopsis

After the collapse of any empire, human destinies are crushed under the rubble. Yasha's fate is the tragicomic story of an ordinary Soviet worker who has served faithfully all his life in an unpleasant production and now cannot come to terms with the changed realities. He continues to live in a country that no longer exists. The dead continue to bury the living.
