Nicolás Torchinsky (Argentina, 1984) studied Filmmaking at the Universidad del Cine (FUC). His shorts Simulacro (2012) and Once Upon a Time in Quizca (2021) and his documentary debut feature The Centaur’s Nostalgia (2017) were part of the competitive sections at a number of international film festivals.
As a family dismantles Aunt Juli's apartment after her passing, grief fills the space. Through stories and memories, a vivid portrait of Juli emerges—her life as an artist, her gender transition, exile during the dictatorship, search for love, humor, trans activism, and her final years living with HIV. A collective reflection on identity, legacy, and transcendence unfolds.
