Vivian Qu
Vivian Qu (b. Beijing) is a Chinese filmmaker and producer. She produced Black Coal, Thin Ice (2014, Berlinale Golden Bear). As director, she made Trap Street (2013, Venice) and Angels Wear White (2017, Venice). Girls on Wire (2025) is her third feature.
Synopsis
Tian Tian, a single mother, kills a drug dealer and is pursued by those seeking vengeance. With her cousin Fang Di, she struggles to protect her daughter while confronting social inequality and violence. The film is a tense drama about survival and female solidarity.
