Serge Avedikian, born on December 1, 1955, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, is an Armenian-French film and theatre actor, director, writer, and producer. His parents, born in France, were children of survivors of the Armenian genocide. Avedikian moved to France at the age of fifteen and pursued his studies at the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Meudon. He has had a prolific career in theatre, film, and television, founding his own production company in 1988. Avedikian is known for his roles in films such as "Paradzhanov" (2013) and "Lost in Armenia" (2016), and he won the Cannes Festival prize for his works.
Jean-Paul Bolzec went to perform his show for a French company located in Azerbaijan. After the performance, on the way back to the airport, the taxi breaks down. Bolzec is abandonned on a desert road, in the middle of nowhere. Without realizing it, he crosses the border into Armenia. A latent war has existed for years between the two countries. A clandestine person in a country he doesn't know, whose language he doesn't speak, and whose alphabet he doesn't understand, Bolzec quickly understands that he has been mistaken for someone else, because people celebrate his arrival like the Second Coming.
