RAJESH MADHAVAN
Rajesh Madhavan is a multifaceted talent in the Malayalam film industry, known for his work as an actor, casting director, and associate director. He debuted on screen in 2016 with a notable role in Maheshinte Prathikaaram, but his journey began behind the camera, working as an associate director on acclaimed films like Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Kumbalangi Nights, and Mayanadhi. As an actor, he earned widespread recognition for his performance as Sureshan in NNa Than Case Kodu, winning the Sima Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Role in 2023. Rajesh also made his mark as a casting director, introducing fresh talent in NNa Than Case Kodu, some of whom won state awards. With over 30 films and commercials to his credit, he is now stepping into the director’s chair with his debut feature film Pennum Porattum, solidifying his place as a rising creative force in Malayalam cinema.
Synopsis
In Pattada, a village defined by its association with death, the narrative centers on Gopalan Master, Charulatha, and Suttu, each facing the village's harsh judgment and violence. Through their struggles, the story highlights the plight of the marginalized. Suttu finds solace in freedom, choosing to leave. However, Charulatha remains, her future precarious, trapped within Pattada's cycle of violence and injustice.
