Konstantin Bojanov, born in 1968, is an award-winning Bulgarian-Ame- rican film director, screenwriter, and visual artist. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, and earned his Master’s Degree from the Royal College of Art in London. Bojanov embarked on his filmmaking career with the acclaimed do- cumentaries LEMON IS LEMON (2001) and INVISIBLE (2005). His fea- ture debut, AVÉ (2011), made its mark at Cannes Critics’ Week and garnered over 20 international awards. His subsequent film, LIGHT THEREAFTER (2017), starring Barry Keoghan, premiered in the Offi- cial Competition of the Rotterdam Film Festival and was nominated for the Huevos Tiger Award. Beyond the realm of cinema, Bojanov’s artwork has been exhibited in numerous art galleries and museums across the globe.
In the dead of night, Renuka escapes from a Delhi brothel after stabbing a policeman to death. She takes refuge in a community of sex workers in nor- thern India, where she meets Devika, a young girl condemned to a life of prostitution. Their bond develops into a forbidden romance. Together, they embark on a perilous journey to escape the law and forge their path to freedom.
