Jeo Baby

Jeo Baby is an Indian film director, scriptwriter and actor who works in the Malayalam film Industry. He made his directional movie debut through the Malayalam movie 2 Penkuttikal, which was released in 2016 and Anna Fathima won State Award for the Best Child Artist. His second movie Kunju Daivam was released in 2017 and Adish Praveen won National Award for the Best Child Artist. In 2020 he directed Kilometers and Kilometers which has Tovino Thomas playing the lead role. The movie skipped theaters due to COVID-19 pandemic was premiered directly on Malayalam satellite channel Asianet. His fourth Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen which has Suraj Venjaramoodu and Nimisha Sajayan playing the lead role screened at UK Asian Film Festival and won Making Waves Digitally Award. And also selected at Shanghai International Film Festival, China, Stuttgart International Film Festival, Germany and lots of International and regional Film Festivals. ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ won 3 Kerala State Film Awards including Best Movie, Best Screenplay and Best Sound Design. His fifth Malayalam movie was an anthology titled ‘Freedom Fight’ which consists of five segments directed by Kunjila Mascillamani, Akhil Anilkumar, Francies Louis, Jithin Issac Thomas and himself and he won Special Jury Mention at the 52nd Kerala State Awards for conceiving the anthology film. His next movie Kaathal -The Core starring Mammooty and Jyotika which is produced by Mammootty Kampany released worldwide on November 23rd , 2023 and received Pan Indian critical acclaim and gained a box-office hit and won four Kerala State Film Awards including Best Film.
