Annemarie Jacir, born in Bethlehem in 1974, is a Palestinian filmmaker and poet. Her films highlight Palestinian daily life, exile, and generational rifts. She directed Salt of This Sea (2008), When I Saw You (2012), and Wajib (2017), all acclaimed at major festivals, making her one of the leading voices in Arab cinema.
