Nader Saeivar, born in 1975 in Tabriz, Iran, is an acclaimed Iranian writer and director. He began his career in 1992 with short films and has since made significant contributions to Iranian cinema. Saeivar is best known for his collaboration with Jafar Panahi, with whom he co-wrote the screenplay for "3 Faces" (2018), which won the Best Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
In Iran, the retired dance teacher Tarlan witnesses her friend Rana’s murder by her husband, who is an important government figure. When the police refuse to investigate, Tarlan must decide whether to bow to political pressure or risk her reputation and livelihood in pursuit of justice.
