Rouhollah Hejazi, born in Abadan in 1979, is an Iranian director whose films explore paranoia, family tension, and moral anxiety. His filmography includes Among the Clouds (2008), The Private Life of Mr. & Mrs. M (2012), Death of the Fish (2015), The Dark Room (2018), and Bright House (2021), marking him as a distinctive voice in contemporary Iranian cinema.
Synopsis
After their young son briefly vanishes near a desert housing complex and claims someone saw his body, parents spiral into suspicion. The search exposes marital fissures, communal secrecy, and the painful ambiguity of protection versus paranoia
